The Knowledge Atlas™ Approach

Knowledge Atlas™ is a boutique Personal Knowledge Management consulting practice for high-performing professionals who want clarity, continuity & long-term order in their digital lives.

This work is distinct from digital vaults, estate repositories, or cloud-storage products.

Knowledge Atlas™ focuses on helping professionals create calm, structured information systems that reduce cognitive load, streamline essential information, and support clearer thinking in demanding environments.

Clients come to Knowledge Atlas™ when they want a long-term, structured personal knowledge architecture, not productivity hacks, templates, or app tutorials.

The aim is simple:  calm focus, intelligent action, and a stable personal knowledge environment that supports clear thinking over time.

David S. Bald is an information management consultant and personal knowledge systems advisor with nearly two decades of experience designing structured information environments across complex organisational settings.

His career includes deep work in records governance, executive administration, and digital transformation, with expertise spanning the full information lifecycle, from capture and organisation to long-term preservation and structured expression.

He has trained senior executives, knowledge workers, and operational teams in systems such as OpenText Content Manager (TRIM) and Microsoft 365 information environments, supported by extensive experience in designing structured information environments and clear operational systems.

David's approach is discreet, analytical, and highly structured. His work combines rigorous information management principles, personal knowledge architecture, and pragmatic private-sector sensibilities to help high-performing professionals build structured personal knowledge systems that support long-term clarity, continuity, and intelligent decision-making.

His commitment is simple: to help people create personal knowledge systems that keep their minds clear, their information stable, and their life's work under control.

Who I work with

I work with high-performing professionals navigating complexity, fragmented information, and increasing cognitive load, including:

  • senior administrators, executives, and knowledge workers managing complex digital environments

  • professionals balancing demanding responsibilities with a need for continuity, structure, and clear thinking

This is not for you if …

Knowledge Atlas™ is a boutique consulting practice with limited capacity.   It is not the right fit for people who:

  • want productivity hacks, templates, or app tutorials

  • are unwilling to examine their own knowledge habits

  • expect fast shortcuts rather than calm, sustainable systems

  • want motivational coaching, therapy-adjacent support, or general life advice

  • resist structured thinking or personal responsibility for their information ecosystem
